THRILLS X DAN ELBORNE

SKULL & BULLETS 

THRILLS is proud to collaborate with Queensland based artist and ceramicist Dan Elborne to create a series of porcelain skulls and .303 bullets embellished with original scorpion floral artwork by Thrills.

Dan has created a menacing contradiction between beauty and horror, juxtaposing the aesthetic beauty of porcelain and embellishment with the horrors of war, further reflected by the scorpion lurking with in the floral artwork.

The bullets are five round stripper clips featuring individually slip cast porcelain .303 bullets, glazed and decorated with scorpion floral artwork.

The skulls are a continuation of Dan’s existing series entitled ‘Human Condition’. The skulls are slip cast porcelain, glazed and decorated with scorpion floral artwork. 13.5 x 17.5 x 13.3 cm
