A: ALI GETS IN AROUND 9AM AND I GET IN AROUND 10AM – CLARE AND CLAUDIA GET IN AT 9.30. ALI WILL TEXT BEFORE I GET IN TO GET HER A COFFEE AND I FUMBLE INTO THE OFFICE WISHING I HAD 5 HANDS TO CARRY EVERYTHING. I WALK IN – ALI COMMENTS ON WHAT I’M WEARING THAT MAKES MY DAY. CLARE AND CLAUDIA ARE PLAYING SOME ‘CHILL OUT’ MUSIC IN THEIR OFFICE. MY BRIEFCASE SCARES THEM SOMETIMES. ALI HAS CLOTHING SPRAWLED ACROSS HER ENTIRE OFFICE SO YOU CANNOT SEE THE FLOOR. DAVE, OUR LANDLORD COMES IN AND REMINDS US TO PAY RENT, AND COMMENTS THAT WE SHOULD PUT SOME MORE PLANTS IN THE SHOWROOM – WE ALL AGREE. A: THE TOWN HAS A VERY UNIQUE CULTURE THAT BYRON IS FAMOUS FOR AND IT REMAINS TRUE TO ITS CULTURE; SURFERS, HIPPIES, YOGIS, FARMERS, THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES, ARTISTS AND SMALL BUSINESSES ALL CREATE ONE INCREDIBLE AND OUTSPOKEN COMMUNITY. THAT IS THE BEAUTY AND ALLURE OF BYRON BAY.
Q: DOES THE REGION INSPIRE YOU AND IS THERE ENOUGH RESOURCES TO ENABLE YOUR BUSINESS?
A: BECAUSE OF THE ONLINE ABILITIES WE’RE ABLE TO WORK REMOTELY AWAY FROM THE TRADITIONAL CITIES FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY. IT ALSO ALLOWS US TO WHOLESALE INTERNATIONALLY WITH MORE EASE.

A: I COULDN’T DREAM UP A BETTER SCENARIO. WITH ALL OF US BEING YOUNG IN OUR VENTURES THERE’S A SENSE OF SUPPORT FROM LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE AND THIS IN TURN MAKES US ALL BETTER AS A COLLECTIVE.

A: SURE IS – I USE ART PARK’S MICROWAVE FOR POPCORN AND WE STEAL THE INTERNET FROM GODDESS OF BABYLON. THRILLS PARK THEIR BIKES IN OUR SHOWROOM AND SPELL HOLD SOME OF THEIR AWESOME JEWELRY FOR US BEFORE IT SELLS OUT! WE IN TURN PROVIDE SWIMSUITS FOR ALL.

A: QUITE SIMPLY – THE SURROUNDINGS WE LIVE IN INSPIRES US TO THINK FREELY.

Q: IS YOUR CUSTOMER A LOCAL TO THE BYRON BAY REGION? AND HOW ARE YOU DEALING WITH OUTSIDE INTEREST?
A: TALLOW HAS BEEN ABLE TO LAUNCH NATIONALLY IN AUSTRALIA AND RECENTLY IN 4 MAJOR INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES, SO OUR CUSTOMER IS GLOBAL. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN OUR FOCUS TO ACCENTUATE THE CURRENT ATTITUDES OF SURFING CULTURE AND IN PARTICULAR THAT OF BYRON BAY. A: CUSTOMERS ALWAYS COME INTO OUR SHOWROOM SAYING THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE IS LIKE A SHOPPING TREASURE HUNT! I’D LIKE TO THINK THIS CONCEPT/ATTITUDE CONTINUES.
